March Haul Post *Pic-Heavy!* - Skinfood Gold Caviar Collagen Ampoule, Skinfood Salmon Eye Patch, Skinfood Fresh Apple No Sebum Spot Serum, IN2IT, Nichido, and Fanny Serrano!
Hey Pretty Ladies! How's it going?
I know I promised to do a four-part review on my Wonder Pore Line, but I kinda lost the pics I took and I have to retake them. And I'm kinda busy at the moment, but I'll post everything soon, promise!
Anyway, I was just strolling in the mall with my kids the other day. I really had no plans to buy anything, well, I just wanted to buy an Etude House cream illuminizer. The local mall's Etude House sales lady said they didn't have it, and she was sooooo rude! I got so pissed off that I ended not buying anything from them. LOL.
I instead diverted my attention to Skinfood. Luckily for me, they were on sale that day. WEEEEE! I ended up buying a few stuff, and a few more stuff from the local makeup department.
Here they are:
Skinfood Haul
SkinFood Haul! |
L-R: Salmon Eye Patch, Fresh Apple No Sebum Spot Serum, Gold Caviar Collagen Ampoule |
On sale! |
With the pack, you'll get a total of 14 ampoules, 7 for day use and 7 for night.
7 vials each for night and day use. |
Each ampoule is good for 3 uses, but I think I can extend each for 5 uses, LOL. |
I got this at 80% off, it was down to 870 PHP from 4350 PHP. weee!
Next up is the Skinfood Salmon Eye Patch. And I am in love with this.
I love this. This is soo cool to the eyes. |
It has salmon roe extracts from Salmon caught in Hokkaido. It contains Omega-3 that helps brighten the dark circles in your eyes.
The product comes in a sachet. When you open it, you would really notice how wet the pack is. It even drips!
Anyway, the product is in the shape of a roe. It doesn't have any funky smell and is incredibly wet! So what you do is you apply the roe thing below your eyes and it will stick! Leave it on for 10 mins and massage the area to really keep the moisture in.
The product feels sooo cool on your skin. I swear. I kinda flipped it over after the 1st 10 mins because it was still wet and I wanted to make the most out of it (its expensive!).
I got the pack of 8 for 430 from 2150. ^^
The last thing I got, which wasn't on sale, is the Fresh Apple No Sebum Spot Serum. What it does is that it instantly mattifies the oily spots on your skin.
The consistency is very runny, and leaves a cool feeling on your skin, much like alcohol.
I love how they have directions in English! |
8 packs in all. |
The single pack. |
Can you see this clearly? |
It kinds looks weird, doesn't it? |
Weee! Me! |
I used it wrongly I think? hahaha.. |
The last thing I got, which wasn't on sale, is the Fresh Apple No Sebum Spot Serum. What it does is that it instantly mattifies the oily spots on your skin.
My favorite! |
Its consistency is really runny. |
I haven't really tested it, but I'll let you know once I have. I got this for 300 something .
Local Make Up Brands
After almost emptying my pockets at Skinfood, we hit the local brands department. I was inspired by saytiocoatillero's post about local brand make up and it rekindled my love for it. So I got these:
On Sale: IN2IT Lash Xtra Mascara with their Waterproof Retractable Eyeliner |
My mascara and eyeliner |
IN2IT Eyebrow Liner |
I didnt read the label, I got it in BLACK!! |
I love IN2IT though, I think its a really great brand that keeps getting overlooked. Prices are really affordable and the item quality is amazing! Take for example my Waterproof Eyebrow Colour. It lasted me 2 years, and I just got my 2nd pan a week ago.
New dolly doll shoes from G |
Fanny Serrano Eyelash Curler |
NICHIDO Eye Pencil in Brown and Mineral Kohl Pencil in Onyx. Sigh. Love! |
I also got their translucent finishing powder in So Natural. I really like this as it doesn't alter the color of my foundie and doesn't cake. This is my 2nd pot. Weee! This is for 150 PHP.
NICHIDO Final Powder in So Natural |
Fanny Serrano Extra Length X Volume Mascara |

Review Post: Wonder Pore Whipping Foaming Cleanser
Review Disclaimer:
The reviews I post on my blog are
from my personal, unbiased opinion; I use the products I review so I will be
basing my review on the experience I had with the product. Again, the review
will be based on my experience, which may differ from yours. I will, however,
welcome any comments on my reviews. I was not paid by any entity or
organization to make a review on any product. I purchased each of the products
I review using my own money. If there are any inconsistencies on my review, please
leave a comment below.
Etude House Wonder Pore Line
I never really took notice of my
skin till recently. I never really knew the importance of keeping your skin
healthy and clean till I noticed a few wrinkles under my eyes. Ewwwww. Aside
from that, my skin is perennially oily, but I always cover it up with primers
and powders. I didn’t really think of attacking the source, and it took me so
long to really decide to do it, lol. Anyway, I was looking for products to
reduce oily skin, and a lot of bloggers pointed to the very popular Etude House
Wonder Pore line. Almost all the reviews I read raved about this line. I had to
see it for myself before I believed it.
This will be a 4-part review. I
will be starting with the Wonder Pore Whipping Foaming Cleanser.
Etude House Wonder Pore Whipping Foaming Cleanser & Brush
According to the manufacturer:
"I'm the wonder woman for your pores!"
It promises 7 benefits:
- Deep clean pores
- Oil Control
- 4.5 ph Care
- Even Skin
- Brightening Skin Color
- Tightening Pores
- Moisturizing skin
Packaging:
The product comes in a dominantly
baby blue plastic box, with a clear window in which you can see the front of
the product. The product itself comes in a tin can with a snap on cap. Since
its in mousse form, it has a pressurized dispensing nozzle. Though I’m not too
happy with the amount it dispenses (I think its too much), I have no complaint
on the very cutesy packaging!
It has cutesy Korean instructions at the back. |
The brush also comes in a blue plastic packaging. The brush also comes with its own container where you can keep the brush after using.
The container has 4 small holes that probably drains water from the container. My only problem here is that the brush doesn't snap back on to its lid. Hmpf!
It looks rough right? Its actually really, really soft! |
Quantity:
It comes in a 200 ml. tin can. Since
you need to use only a very small amount per wash, it may last you 1-2 months.
Quality:
The product doesn't look much
when dispensed, it looks very light, but when you touch it, it does have a
soapy feel to it.
I use it with the special brush that you can buy along with
the rest of the line, designed especially for the product. I noticed though
that even a small product lathers up very much! I can use one pump, and it
lathers completely and thickly from my forehead to my neck!
It looks really thick, doesn't it? |
It really does a great job in
cleaning my face. You would think that since it contains alcohol, it would
clean your face thoroughly and dry it, too. Surprisingly, it doesn't dry your
face at all. I noticed after washing, my face felt really soft, with none of
the oiliness. I also felt a bit minty on the face, but it goes away after a
while. According to some people, there is a strong alcohol-like smell, which I
really do not notice, so I can’t comment on that.
You can use the whipping foam as a face mask, too! Limit this to 1-2x a week.
Also, since I don’t use the
product alone (I use it with the rest of the line), I don’t really know how
effective it is when used alone. I’m currently on a strict regimen..^^
I find the brush really nice and soft. I'm not too sure if it does a really thorough job in cleaning the face though. But that's just me.
Price:
At 678 PHP for the Foam and 248
PHP for the brush, I think it maybe kinda steep, especially for its target
buyers (teenagers). But I think its a worthwhile investment, especially if
you’re an OILEEEE, like me. ^^
Pro’s:
-
Really cleans my face
-
My face feels less completely oil-less after
washing
-
Little comes a long way
- Doesn't dry you out like other cleansers
Con’s:
-
Not budget-friendly towards its target market
Verdict:
I really think this product is
worth purchasing and repurchasing. Since I’m Ms. Oily 2014, this product really
does a thorough job in removing excess oil and dirt. It doesn't leave you
feeling wrung dry after using though.
Worth it!
-----
After 3 days of strict use, I find that my face oils less than it used to. I need to touch up once or twice in an 8 hour period and I'm good. I haven't noticed my pores minimizing though. But one other thing I noticed was that my face has brightened (whitened?) a bit. Hmmm. Side effect?
Mini-Haul: Etude House Wonder Pore Line
Hi Pretty Ladies!
It's really been a while since I posted anything here!
I've been sooo busy, just got promoted, so I have less time to spend reviewing stuff.
What I have in store this year probably would be more reviews about hauls I have acquired so far.
I'll start with my Wonder Pore line from Etude House.
My husband just really splurged on me on this purchase! I think we spent a total of PHP 2,800 in one go!
Anyway, just check my upcoming posts for a review of each!

Review Post: MILANI Single Shadows -- Java Bean, Antique Gold, Sun Goddess
Review Disclaimer:

MILANI Single Eyeshadows
I've always been a fan of eyeshadows. I'm willing to buy them in singles, or in palettes. I just love them! Recently, I've been reading a lot about how nice Milani shadows are for their price. It's totally amazing. I got some from a dealer from Ebay and so far, I'm satisfied with my purchases. Anyway, I decided to review them since I got them a while back and I really haven't reviewed them yet.
According to the Manufacturer:
Intensely pigmented eye shadows that leave an incredible deposit of color on lids. Glides on silky-smooth, blends effortlessly and resists fading and creasing.
Available in 12 high-impact shades.
Packaging:
It comes in a circular, flip-top container.
It's made mostly of plastic, but it seems sturdy enough to be handled frequently. The flip-top cover is in clear plastic so you can really see the contents.
The only thing bugging me about this though is that the flip-top is kinda hard to open. I've hurt my nail beds a number of times already just trying to open it. huhuhu.
Quantity:
0.058 OZ /1.65g -- Judging by eye, the content should be enough to cover you for a while.
Quality:
The shadows are just amazing! I can't tell you how pigmented these little guys are! It doesn't need too much work to blend these babies. They're kinda creamy, but then they're really solid. I dunno how to explain it. It's just that once its applied, it like, melts from the warmth of your skin and makes it easily spreadable. The ones I got were more on the shimmery side, but I heard they also carry satin and matte shades, for those who like those variants.

Sun Goddess -- I love, love, love this shade! It such a warm, golden, orangey color which goes perfectly with my skin tone.
Java Bean -- This color is a bit dark for me, more like Mauve, but still warm. I don't wear it too much, but I still love the color.
Antique Gold -- Now, this one got me fooled. I bought this color, thinking it would come off as a bit off a brownish, gold color, but nooooo. It's actually sort of a moss green color, with some golden sheen to it. I don't like it. It makes me look like a drag queen.
T-B: Java Bean, Antique Gold, Sun Goddess |
Price:
I got it for, I think, 75 PHP a pop. Not too bad, considering the quality of the product.
Pro's:
- Cheap
- Highly Pigmented
- Easily blendable
- Comes in a myriad of colors
- Handy
- Packaging is good
Con's:
- Not easily available
Verdict:
I will DEFINITELY repurchase this product. It's just amazing. Period.
Till the next review!
Ja ne, pretty ladies! ^^
